Ervin Lewis is a dynamic leader in collegiate athletics and education, a passionate mentor, and the founder of Winners vs. Champions LLC. With over 20 years of experience shaping student-athletes, coaches, and administrators, Ervin brings a deep commitment to excellence, integrity, and intentional leadership to every role he serves.

Currently the Deputy Athletic Director at the University of North Florida, Ervin oversees internal operations for 19 intercollegiate sports — including sports performance, facilities, and event management — while also leading initiatives to bring external events to campus, expanding the university’s reach and impact. His leadership journey also includes influential roles at Auburn University, UAB, the University of Tennessee, and the University of Georgia, where he focused on operations, recruiting, academic support, and student development. He has also taught college-level courses and led character education programs, reinforcing his belief that athletics and academics go hand-in-hand in building future leaders.

In Fall 2021, Ervin was appointed Chairman of the NCAA Track & Field Championship Committee, further solidifying his influence on national athletic governance.

A native of Monticello, Florida, Ervin began his athletic career at Jones Junior College and later at Auburn University, where he earned both his bachelor’s degree in Health Education (1997) and his master’s in Higher Education Administration (1999). After an injury ended his playing career, he transitioned into coaching and administration — including serving as head football coach at his alma mater, Jefferson County High School — continuing his mission to guide young people toward growth and purpose.

Through Winners vs. Champions LLC., Ervin now empowers individuals of all ages — especially students — to live with intention, win each day, and champion their future. The company is rooted in the same values that have defined his career: discipline, resilience, and leadership with heart.
